This article plays on the emotions of readers without telling the reader what happens when a bill passes out of committee. I think it goes to the floor for a full vote. However, having a bill that is directly opposed to an approved proposition (part of the state constitution) is an outrage. Providing a cheap back door to assemblypeople that aren't accountable to me should be an offense that results in immediate removal or at least censure.
