Obama in the 18th Century
On Meet the Press on Sunday, Senator Obama stated that if the Iraqi government and nation wasn't fixed by the end of 7 years, that it would not be fixed by our intervention continuing for 14, 28 or 56 years.
Let's apply that logic to the Constitutional Convention in the United States and abolition.
Meet the Press: So, if you cannot convince the delegates to the Constitutional Convention to abolish slavery now, what will you do?
Abolitionist: Well, if we cannot convince them now, we won't be able to convince them ever; so, we should pull out of the union with the south...
